Plan Your Visit

We know visiting a church for the first time can come with a lot of questions. Where do I go? What will the service be like? Will I be expected to do anything?

At Moravia Moravian Church, we want your first visit to be comfortable and welcoming. Whether you have attended church all your life, have been away for a while, or are exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome here.

Join Us This Sunday

Sunday School — 10:00 AM
Worship — 11:00 AM

Our worship service normally lasts about one hour.

Moravia Moravian Church is located at:

2920 Oak Ridge Road
Oak Ridge, NC 27310

When You Arrive

You are welcome to park in any open parking space and enter through the sanctuary doors facing Oak Ridge Road.

An usher will normally be there to greet you, give you a bulletin, and help answer any questions you may have.

There is no need to check in, wear a name tag, stand up, or introduce yourself to the congregation. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

Our goal is simply to help you feel at home.

What Is Worship Like?

Our worship is rooted in the Christian faith and the traditions of the Moravian Church. A typical service includes Scripture, prayer, hymns, music, a message from the Bible, and opportunities for the congregation to respond together.

You do not need to know the Moravian liturgy or be familiar with our traditions before you come. Your bulletin will help guide you through the service, and you are always welcome to simply observe until you feel comfortable participating.

Most importantly, our focus is on worshiping God, hearing His Word, and growing closer to Jesus Christ together.

What About Children?

Children are always welcome at Moravia.

A nursery is available for younger children, while older children are invited to remain with their families in the sanctuary during worship.

We understand that children may sometimes wiggle, make noise, or need to step out for a few minutes. Families should feel comfortable worshiping with us.

Accessibility

We want our church to be accessible to everyone.

Handicap-accessible parking is available, and the sanctuary is accessible for those using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids. Accessible restrooms are also available.

If you need assistance when you arrive, an usher will be glad to help.

Holy Communion

From time to time, our worship includes Holy Communion.

Moravia practices open Communion, meaning those who confess Jesus Christ as Lord are invited to participate. If you prefer not to receive Communion, you are completely welcome to remain seated.

Come and See

Sometimes the best way to learn about a church is simply to visit.

You do not need to make an appointment or let us know ahead of time. Just come as you are, find a seat, and worship with us.

We would be glad to have you.
